Today, August 1st 2024, we posted a new firmware version 1.0.1 with lots of updates for the new and exiting Xiegu X6200.
NOTICE: Be aware that a faulty firmware file was posted about a week ago. Only use the file downloaded from our Download section, make sure the file date of the sdcard.img is 2024-07-26 before updating your X6200.
New Features
- TX audio equalizer (Pileup requested feature)
- Display adjustment options, bandwidth/spectrum/waterfall color, etc
- Spectrum center line switch, the user can choose to turn on or off
- MFK variable step (Pileup requested feature)
- Voice compression (Pileup requested feature)
- Automatic screen backlight dimming/off
- CW decoder threshold adjustment
- Waterfall map translation switch, the waterfall map will translate with the frequency change after opening
Improvements
- Optimised frequency spectrum display speed, more smooth
- Optimised spectrum and waterfall automatic level, better signal contrast, easier to see clearly (Pileup requested feature)
- Optimised the function key operation logic (some switch parameters can be adjusted directly by pressing the button without turning the MFK knob, easy to operate) (Pileup requested feature)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed some display content display incomplete issue
- Fixed the power alarm BUG
- Fixed the CW auto key BUG
- Fixed the transmit power control BUG (voice plosive sound, such as p,t, etc., is prone to to make popping sounds)
Pileup Updates
Since Pileup Communications is working closely with Xiegu we were invited early to test the X6200. During our testing we came up with several suggestions on how to improve the features and functions of the X6200. In addition to what is mentioned in the official update log file (listed above), these additions has also been made on request by our team:
