Xiegu X6200 Firmware 1.0.8 CW Macros & Keyer Fixes Leave a comment
A new firmware update is now available for the Xiegu X6200, bringing an important CW keyer fix, an S-meter correction, and a new CW keyer macro function.
What’s New in Firmware 1.0.8
1. CW keyer speed corrected
The update fixes an issue where the actual CW keying speed did not accurately correspond to the selected WPM setting.
2. S-meter bug fixed
An occasional issue where the S-meter could become stuck at −255 dBm has been corrected.
3. Restored CW Keyer Macro Function
Firmware 1.0.8 restores the CW keyer macros, allowing operators to use pre-programmed CW messages instead of manually keying the complete message. This can be particularly useful for commonly repeated exchanges, callsigns, CQ calls, and other messages during portable operation or contests.
To access the CW macro function:
- Select CW or CWR mode
- Press the [APP] key
- Press [F3] – [CALL]
The macro function makes the X6200’s built-in electronic keyer considerably more useful for regular CW operation.
